Digitoll: Deadlines postponed – but we are ready to roll outv

The Norwegian Customs Authority has confirmed new deadlines for the implementation of Digitoll, giving the industry more time to adapt. The postponement is intended to ensure a smooth transition and reduce the risk of operational issues. It’s crucial that all stakeholders have time to implement solutions that work in practice and maintain stability across the supply chain during this critical phase.

The digital reporting and information obligation will be introduced on September 15, 2026, while the requirement for advance declaration and the discontinuation of the direct transport scheme will be implemented on February 1, 2027.

Why are the Digitoll deadlines postponed?

  • Customs wants to provide the industry with more time for testing and adjustments.
  • The complexity of the systems requires thorough quality assurance.
  • The goal is to avoid bottlenecks and ensure Digitoll works optimally from day one.

We’re ready for Digitol – and continuing the rollout

Even though the deadlines have been extended, we see no reason to wait. We’ve made the necessary preparations and are ready to start using Digitoll. Early implementation provides a clear competitive advantage, and we want to continue the rollout together with our customers.

The Don’t sit on the fence

As NHO Logistikk og Transport emphasizes, the postponement should not become an excuse to delay. Digitoll is the future solution for efficient and secure goods flow, and early adopters will be stronger in the market.

We encourage all our customers to get in touch and get started. Together, we’ll ensure a seamless transition to Digitoll – for the benefit of the entire value chain.
